Day 7 — The Value-Add Re-Engage
If Day 3 got crickets, your instinct is to send the same message again. Don't. Day 7 you can't just say 'did you decide yet?' — that's nagging. You pivot. You're not asking for a decision, you're giving them something.
Day 7 re-engage
Hey [name], thinking about your [job] — wanted to send over a quick before-and-after from a similar [project] we did last month for the [Smith family]. If you're still weighing options, this might help you picture what your finished [project] could look like.
Why it works
- Real social proof (a recent, specific job — ideally with a name and a photo) beats generic testimonials.
- No price pressure — you're not asking them to decide, just to look.
- Easier to reply to than another 'just checking in'.
Attach a real photo if you have one. If you don't, this is the exact reason to start collecting before/afters on every job — see the Before & After Maker tool.
If you don't have a similar job to reference, swap in something else useful: a quick note about materials you'd recommend, a heads-up about a seasonal price increase, or a question that helps them think ("by the way — are you planning to do this before or after [related thing]?").
