Your 4-Week Starter Plan
Use this exactly. Adjust later once you see what works for your specific trade and area.
- Week 1 — One Update post showing a recent job (photo + 2 sentences + CTA: Call now).
- Week 2 — One Update post with a seasonal tip relevant to your trade (no sales pitch, just a useful tip + photo + CTA: Learn more pointing to a relevant page on your site).
- Week 3 — One Offer post for a seasonal special. Set a 2-week end date.
- Week 4 — One Update post that's a before-and-after from a recent job + one bonus Event post if you have anything community-relevant on the calendar.
After Week 4 you should have rhythm. Move to one post per week, alternating between recent-job updates, tips, and the occasional offer or event.
Your weekly checklist
- Pick one job photo from this week (real, not stock)
- Decide the post type: Update, Offer, or Event
- Write 2–4 sentences with the local detail (neighborhood or city)
- Pick the CTA button that matches the post (Call now / Book / Sign up)
- Publish from the GBP mobile app — under 5 minutes

Before you close this, you should be able to answer these out loud:
- Why are GBP posts a ranking and conversion lever for local businesses?
- What are the three post types and when do you use each?
- What's the one habit (cadence) that makes posts actually work?
- What are three specific examples of post copy you could publish for your trade this week?
If any of those are fuzzy, scroll back. If they're not, your homework is to publish your first post tonight.
