vCards: Always Be in Their Phone
Lesson 4 of 86 min read

Post-Form & Post-Quote Placement

When someone fills out a quote request or contact form, they've just told you they want to hear from you. This is the perfect moment to deliver your vCard — they're engaged, they expect a follow-up, and they're likely to save your contact so they recognize your call or text.

The logic is simple: you call them back and they don't recognize your number — they don't pick up — you lose the lead. A vCard sent immediately after form submission means they already have your name saved when you call, dramatically increasing answer rates.

Option A — Custom Thank You Page

After someone submits a form, redirect them to a custom 'Thank You' page instead of a generic confirmation message. Include the vCard download on that page.

Thank You Page Copy
Headline: "Thanks! We'll be in touch within [X hours]."

Body: "While you wait, save our contact info to your phone so you recognize our call."

Button: "Save [Business Name] to My Phone →" (links to vCard URL)

Pro move: also include a link to your Google Business Profile and say: "In the meantime, feel free to read what our customers say about us."

Option B — Confirmation Email

Most form tools automatically send a confirmation email. Add the vCard link to it.

Auto-Confirmation Email Snippet
"We'll be in touch within [timeframe]. In the meantime, save our contact info to your phone so you recognize our call:"

[Button or hyperlink: "Save [Business Name] to My Phone"]

Best practice: use both. The Thank You page and the confirmation email are separate opportunities to get into their phone, and different people act at different times.
