LLM SEO: Getting Recommended by AI
Lesson 7 of 85 min read

Your Monthly LLM SEO Checklist

You do not need to spend hours on this every week. You need to spend 30 minutes, consistently, every single month. Here is your exact checklist. Print it. Put it on your wall. Do it.

The Routine

  • Post on Google Business Profile (job result, tip, or seasonal content) — 2x / month, 10 min
  • Ask 4 recent customers for a Google review — Weekly, 5 min
  • Respond to every new Google review (use AI to draft) — Weekly, 5 min
  • Check and answer any new Google Q&A questions — Monthly, 5 min
  • Add one new FAQ answer to your website — Monthly, 15 min
  • Post 1 piece of content on Facebook or Instagram — Weekly, 10 min
  • Check one directory listing for NAP accuracy — Monthly, 5 min
  • Spend 10 minutes answering questions in local Facebook groups — Weekly, 10 min
  • Test AI visibility (run 3 prompts — see Lesson 8) — Monthly, 5 min
  • Add your business to 1 new directory (if any remain unclaimed) — Monthly, 10 min

The Most Important Rule

DO NOT SKIP MONTHS. One month skipped is not a big deal. Two months is a gap. Three months and you've told every algorithm — Google, AI, social — that your business is slowing down.

This checklist takes less than 30 minutes total if you batch it. Schedule it the first Monday of every month. Set a recurring calendar event. Treat it like paying rent.

Myths vs. Reality

  • Myth: I need to post every day to matter. Reality: Consistency over time beats frequency. 2 quality posts per month for 2 years beats 30 posts in January and nothing in February.
  • Myth: I need to go viral to get AI attention. Reality: AI doesn't care about viral. It cares about consistent, real signals from real places over time.
  • Myth: I need an SEO agency to do this. Reality: Everything in this module you can do yourself. The actions are simple. The discipline is the hard part.
  • Myth: One big article will fix everything. Reality: A single mention fades. It's the pattern of mentions across months and platforms that builds AI recognition.
  • Myth: My competitor is too far ahead to catch. Reality: Most competitors are inconsistent. A business that shows up reliably every month for 18 months will overtake one that burst-posted for 3 months and stopped.
  • Myth: AI SEO is different from Google SEO. Reality: The foundations are the same — consistent identity, real reviews, quality content, citations.
